Moe has never once been about storytelling. Of course, I’ve been the only person privy to this tenet, and there are regular sprinklings of almost narrative that keep the strip confusing for all of you. But you can always trust me to be aware of the bigger picture and steer this ship accordingly. Steer it to nowhere, I mean.
Other comics on the web are generally produced with more savvy and effort, and creators find ways to inject constant wit and entertainment into ongoing stories. Like MSPaint Adventures, but that’s not the one I wanted to plug so I’m not even going to add a link (now you guys will never be able to find it). I’m talking about Good Ship Chronicles by my internet friend Tauhid, which has just returned from hiatus! The dude’s laden with slick skill and enviable determination. Go Tauhid!
Seriously, check out the strip for some awesome art and space-set humour. I know it’s popular to criticize the majority of webcomics as crap, but there really is too much good stuff out there, more than I can keep up with. It’s cool to see services like those provided by Jackson at This Week in Webcomics, which aims to summarize each week’s developments in specific series. Unfortunately I probably can’t keep up with that blog either. I think I’m just bad at keeping up with things.
I did the deed that I guess everybody else has already done. If Twitter is your thing, I’ll be attempting to keep an updated account.
Relevant if you want to see crappy art that I otherwise try to hide, or if you’re interested in my thoughts about caraway fruits.
SPOILER: My thoughts are that they suck and taste bad.
Since the comic has sort of taken a scientific direction, let’s all reflect on how cool science is.
READY GO
Apparently this is the year of astronomy? Welcome to the scientific realm’s biggest gap in logic, because astronomy is badass every damn year. But I guess 2009 does already have a sweet breakthrough: my friend Cindy is drawing a series of trading cards celebrating scientists who made excellent contributions to the field! Excellent!
Seriously space is amazing and if you don’t think so I hope you get hit in the butt by a giant meteor.
