Moe 136: Authentic Spectator Reactions

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Today is special.  Today is super.

The new Moe comic is accompanied by a new website design altogether.  You can see it if you squint your eyes really hard, and notice that the space around these words is actually full of colours instead of being a blinding white abyss.

The content from the previous iteration of Firman Productions has not been fully carried over yet, but at the least, Moe is available in his entirety.  I’ll be rolling out additional content and features (as well as stamping out bugs, hopefully) over the next little while, but if you find yourself immediately desperate to look at my illustrations, you can find some of them by visiting my DeviantArt page.

Things are looking sunny from here on.   Except for the sky because it’s like 5 AM.

Moe 137: Two Consecutives

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Did you know…?
The activity of footbag can be dated back to ancient Greece, where it was popularized as an event in their olympic games.  Of course, their version differed slightly from the “hacking” we’re used to today; the original competition was a contest of who could throw it farthest, and their sack was actually a heavy disc.

Moe 140: P”Moe”etic Ch”Moe”vinist

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Don’t judge Moe too harshly.  He has gone a long time without the sweet touch of a woman – which for him is usually a slap or kick to the groin.

My favourite video game of all time is Grim Fandango.  These days it’s so difficult to find that it will be the central artifact of the next Indiana Jones film.  This day, however, it is easy to find the game’s design document, which is just about the greatest early Christmas gift Tim Schafer could have provided me besides an announcement of his next game being released on PC.  Inspired by the ten year anniversary of Fandango’s debut, this treat also conveniently celebrates the ten year anniversary of Lucasarts focusing exclusively on Star Wars shit.
